Hello Shark Parents,

My name is Molly Dorsey, and I am excited to be serving as the Sharks Volunteer Coordinator/Team Manager again this summer. I will be your go-to for all volunteer questions so that Coach Cheri can focus on our kids. A little bit about me and my family – my husband Jon and I have two boys, Luke (13) and Hunter (11). This is our 9^th year on Sharks. 

Volunteers are an essential part of us running a successful and efficient meet. Volunteer signups are now open for the May 31^st and June 2^nd meets. You can access this by going to brookhaven.swimtopia.com, going to the Swim Meets/Events tab and clicking on Job Signup under each meet. I’ve attached a list of volunteer descriptions for our many new families. There is a job for everyone!

Please note, if your child participates in a meet, you are expected to volunteer in some capacity. Grandparents and other caregivers can volunteer in your place if you cannot make the meet. If you are unable to volunteer on Monday mornings, you can sign up to help do meet setup on Sunday nights at 8pm. If you cannot volunteer in any capacity, please go to the Swimtopia site and pay the opt-out fee, and you will be marked exempt.

Volunteer signups go live at noon on Mondays for the next week’s meet and close at noon on Friday. You will need to log in each week to choose a volunteer position. If you sign up for your child to attend a meet and do not sign up to volunteer, we may assign you a shift. Be sure to sign up early to ensure you get the job that you want.
